Well it’s been a while since I have Blogged about what we have been doing. So here it goes… We have been keeping very busy working and playing… for some reason we never seem to get a chance to rest. I’m working on that. Since my last post, we have been to one baby shower, three birthday parties, a CPR class, boating, camping, and Tate participated in his first wakeboarding competition on the Delta. In the next few weeks, we have another birthday party, three more camping trips, and then we leave for a dive trip to the Channel Islands. Whew! I need a vacation just thinking about all of that. While we have so much to do we have a great time and enjoy the quiet times at home alone together too.
So, back to our most recent trip… Last weekend was the Delta Riders Association’s first competition on the Delta. DRA’s founders are our good friend Gary’s brainchild. He and his wife along with a few other people from WakeWorld put together this group to sponsor local wakeboarding competitions. It is open to all levels of riding. We camped at Orwood Resort near Discovery Bay with some friends and spent Friday playing, wakeboarding and hanging out. Tate was undecided on whether he wanted to compete all the way up until the day of the competition when we arrived as volunteers to help. He ended up signing up for the competition while I took the boat and helped direct traffic away from the event during the competition. Tate did pretty good, unfortunately he was up against some more experienced riders in his “intermediate†class so he came in 4th place. The photo above is of Tate during the comp.
I think that\’s all for right now… Thanks for reading.
