I know a lot of you think we are crazy for camping and wakeboarding in the winter time, but what a great weekend we had!  We spent the weekend at Orwood Resort on the Delta with some new friends from Wakeworld.  We were hoping and praying that the weather would allow for some wakeboarding and it did!  This was our first time towing the boat with the RV.  It went relatively well. 

Friday started out a little iffy, but as soon as everything was set up, Scott took Tate and I for a quick pull before dark. The water was ok, a bit chilly though, especially after having to get back in to untangle the rope from the prop.

Most of Saturday was spent working on Scott\’s boat but later in the afternoon, Tate, Tim, Gary, and I headed out for a quick run. Of course, it started really coming down during my run. I stuck it out for one last ride and then we headed for cover.  

Sunday, was beautiful. A bit cloudy, but no rain at all. Both boats were full and headed out for some riding. We passed another boat full of fellow Wakeworlder’s along the way.  Other than that, no other boats were out (accept for the occasional bass boat). Tom came by for a few hours to ride and hang out too.  Unfortunately, he didn’t bring Kim… we missed you Kimmy!

Monday, was even better. We spent the entire day riding. Stopped for lunch at Union Point and then back out for one more run each.  We headed back to camp at about 4:00.  After loading everything up, we headed for home.  Didn’t get home until about 8:30, unloaded and put the boat and RV to bed by 9:30.

We look forward to our next trip in April to the Spring Ride at Lake Tulluck.
