About Me

Renee & Roxie – 2017

Welcome to ReneeRox.com! This website was created in 2008 to share my life, stories and photos with friends, family and the world. Over the years, it has evolved from a personal blog, to now in 2025 a site to showcase my photography. Thank you for stopping by.

About Me: My name is Renee Viehmann. I am a Northern California Native originally from Red Bluff, CA and moved to the Sacramento area in 1986 where I lived for the next 35 years. I moved to the Bitterroot Valley, Montana in 2021 and other than to visit the friends and family I left behind, I have never looked back.

I guess you could say I began my budding photography “career” in 2005 in Fiji while taking photos of the stunning sunsets. Next while on vacation on the coast of California The Lone Cypress in Carmel, CA was just sitting there, looking so strong standing against the costal winds. In 2010, I photographed my first on the north coast of California.

Many many years went by and I just kept taking photos of beautiful things. It wasn’t until 2019 when someone mentioned that I should sell prints of my artwork. My first attempt was a Christmas craft fair at my work. I sold several 8″x10″ photos at the fair and a few more to co-workers. In 2021, when I moved to Montana, I participated in another craft fair and someone mentioned that I should sell notecards. What a great idea! So I started printing images and making blank notecards as well as printing some on canvas in addition to the 8″x10″ photos.

I enjoy taking photos and I enjoy sharing them with others. In 2025, I decided to put together a calendar for 2026. I’m excited to see how they are received.

History: My dad was a portrait and wedding photographer by profession and a nature photographer for fun. His macro flower photos and mountainscapes were always so beautiful and I remember being with him for many of these photos. I believe that my “eye” comes from my dad. He showed me how beautiful the world could be through a tiny lens. These are a couple of photos that helped me see…
