We arrived home from vacation on Friday night. Had time to put everything away and get some rest before picking up Roxie Satruday morning. Saturday, we met Liz at the airport as she dropped off another puppy on his way to Canada. We were so happy to see Roxie and finally be able to bring her home. She seemed pretty happy to see us too.
We had some errands to run so we took Roxie with us. She did well riding in the truck and mostly slept. We got home and introduced her to the house and to Cheeto. So far, Roxie has been curious about Cheeto, but Cheeto wants nothing to do with her. She has learned how to use the doggie door and even used it specifically to outside and go potty and come back in all by herself. Although that is the only time she has done it herself. The rest of the times, we have prompted her to go outside and go potty… better to be safe than have a mess.
Last night was a bit tougher. She whined and whimpered for over an hour when we put her in her crate beside our bed. Eventually she fell asleep and woke up a couple of times wanting to go potty. She eventually made it 4 hours before having to potty again.
She is quickly learning the word “NO” but is so fun to play with. Tate has been doing most of the work with her and if you ask me, is spoiling her too much. Although, how can you help but snuggle such a cutie pie all the time!
Tomorrow, Roxie will come to work with me since Tate is working in Vacaville and Roxie isn’t comfortable enough being left alone.
