Tate and I recently accepted the challenge to raise contributions to support the Komen Sacramento Race for the Cure® on May 12, 2007 in the fight against breast cancer. Tate and I, along with several members of our dive club, my mom and a friend have joined together to form a Team, “Friends Having Fun for The Cure”. One in eight women will be stricken with breast cancer in her lifetime and the more we raise, the more the Susan G. Komen For the Cure, Sacramento Valley Affiliate can give back to fund vital breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs in our own community and support the national search for a cure.
